More about EFS

Webinars

In principle, EFS organises webinars six times a year on current tax or recent developments in case law in the field of European and/or international tax law. The webinars are theme-based in the sense that they are in line with the three core activities of EFS, namely direct taxation in European and international tax law, Value added tax and finally customs duties and excises. A webinar will be devoted to each theme in the spring and autumn. Most of them are in English but some webinars will be in Dutch. The webinars last one hour and usually take place from 16:00 -17:00. They are free to enter. In principle, PE points can be obtained for the webinars, but you must apply for them yourself at your own organisation.

Agenda

We are pleased to invite you to join our EFS (Erasmus Fiscal Studies) webinar on VAT. During this one-hour session, EFS program coordinators Milja Bormann-Bakker, Rakesh Girah, John Gruson, and EFS program director and board member Professor Madeleine Merkx will discuss the ViDA-proposals adopted during the ECOFIN meeting on 5 November 2024.

We will address all three pillars: e-invoicing and digital reporting, the platform economy and single VAT registration. These changes in VAT legislation will   significantly impact businesses operating within the EU, particularly those involved in international trade. Therefore, it is important to familiarize yourself with these rules as soon as possible.

Additionally, we will inform you about our post-master programs and top-level seminar in EU VAT. These highly acclaimed EFS programs will allow you to deepen and broaden your VAT knowledge. We offer different programs tailored to various levels of experience to accommodate everyone working in the field of VAT and/or seeking to expand their knowledge.
